How to get Pelago
Car
For people coming from South, leave the A1 highway at the “Incisa-Reggello” exit: turn immediately right and proceed on the SS69 road towards Pontassieve for approximately 15 kilometres. Once arrived at the S. Francesco fraction, you’ll find a turning point on the right towards Pelago/Consuma. Follow it. After 2 kilometres, turn right again towards Pelago.
For people coming from North, leave the A1 highway at the “Firenze Sud” exit: continue straight on to Marco Polo / Agnelli street towards Bagno a Ripoli, Pontassieve on the SS67 road. After 12 kilometres, you’ll get to a traffic circle in Pontassieve. Continue towards “Consuma” and then exit at the “Pontassieve Est” interchange. Go right at the next turning point and then left entering the SR 70 towards Pelago/Consuma. After approximately 2 kilometres turn right at the Pelago sign.
Train
The Pontassieve train station is only 7 kilometres far from Pelago. Coming from Piazza Stazione, turn right in Via Garibaldi and go through 2 traffic lights and a bridge. You’ll get to a traffic circle: take the first exit to the right and proceed for 1 kilometer. Turn then left entering SR 70 towards Pelago/Consuma and after 2 kilometres finally turn right at the Pelago sign.
Plane
The Florence International airport “Amerigo Vespucci” is 30 kilometres far from Pelago. The easiest and fastest way is entering A1 highway and getting the first exit on the right coming out from the airport: as you go trought “Firenze Nord” tool boots, proceed towards “Roma” until “Firenze Sud” exit. Leave the A1 highway at the “Firenze Sud” exit: continue straight on to Marco Polo / Agnelli street towards Bagno a Ripoli, Pontassieve on the SS67 road. After 12 kilometres, you’ll get to a traffic circle in Pontassieve. Continue towards “Consuma” and then exit at the “Pontassieve Est” interchange. Go right at the next turning point and then left entering the SR 70 towards Pelago/Consuma. After approximately 2 kilometres turn right at the Pelago sign.
